Canadian Plums

Well, if you missed the Fruit Festival in Edmonton (I did), you can at least satisfy your need for information on Canadian fruit with this little article on growing plums and Canadian plum cultivars:

It's a conversation with a couple of experienced plum growers. There really is a remarkably varied range of genetic material out there when it comes to plums, lots and lots of very different species, cultivars, etc. Probably something that'll grow almost anywhere.
