Green Mangoes over at TSOGB

Santos has a mango post over at The Scent of Green Bananas, and it even includes a pair of recipes:

Oi, where did all the green mangoes go?

I'm far too lazy to actually make anything from a recipe 99% of the time, but I'd still read her blog just for the photos (and all the tropical fruit, of course).

Ahh yes eating mangoes raw is a horrible practice.

I have some friends who get more excited over a green mango then they would winning the lottery.

They pick them so green that they are practically just like eating sap. Then they slice them and then pour chilli powder and salt all over them and start munching into them.

I tried it but unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea. It burnt my mouth and with all the salt you just didn't know what you are eating.

My main concern is that there is no mangos left to ripen into their prestigous orange colour.
