Tewksbury Baron

Daughter of the Soil may one day turn out to have single-handedly saved 'Tewksbury Baron' apple from extinction, given that it's apparently only in two other places at the moment.

Imagine how many varieties might still be around today if other people had thought the same way?

(The blog is actually a pretty good read, very focused on heirloom varieties and breeding. Unfortunately it's virtually all about vegetables, so it's rarely relevant here...)
