Ancient Figs Found in Israel
The discovery of ancient carbonized figs without fertile seeds in Israel suggests that domestication of plants took place roughly a 1,000 years earlier than previously thought, and points to Israel, rather than Turkey, as the birthplace of the Agricultural Revolution.
